Disneyland Paris

Following our trip to Disneyland Paris we started wondering when we would be able to go to Florida as we had enjoyed it so much.

We thought we might manage to go in 2009 but didn't think much more of it.

Disneyland Paris - Day 5

Day 5 – Friday 5th October 2007



We saw Pluto and Mickey this morning in the foyer:



We checked out of our room and then we headed to the Walt Disney Studios Park again for a last look around.

The boys saw Chicken Little which is one of their favourite films so a nice finishing character to see!



I queued again for Crush’s coaster while Kev took the boys on the Cars ride again then we switched and we hung around by the cars ride:





It was then time to head back to the hotel to pick up our bags and get on the coach to the airport.

We managed to get off the coach at the wrong terminal (thanks to the information when I booked the flight telling me the wrong one!) So we had an epic journey across the airport and on a monorail to find the right terminal.

We then check in and discover a one hour delay. This wasn’t too bad so we headed to departures and then the gate. Then the announced another delay and then another one. I can’t remember by how much we were delayed but all I know is we spent a lot of time in a boring room and that we were very unlikely to make our connection in Manchester. They gave us some money towards food in the airport and we got complimentary drinks on the flight.

When we got to Manchester we had a mad dash and managed to make the plane by the skin of our teeth!

Disneyland Paris - Day 4

Day 4 – Thursday 4th October 2007

This morning in the foyer of the hotel the boys met Minnie:

We then headed back to the Disneyland Park for another day there.





We took a slow walk down Main Street taking lots of photos of all the Halloween decorations which were out ready for the Halloween celebrations.

















We were able to get into Discoveryland before the park opened as we were hotel guests.

We rode Buzz light year again with no queue at all and then both did Space Mountain. I literally ran all the way down the queue lines and not a person in front of me! We then did a child swap and Kev went back on through the exit.

Next we went on Orbitron which actually scared me a bit as it is quite high and nothing holding you in!



We then headed back to Fantasyland and spotted Daisy on the way:

We then did It’s a Small World again:



We then headed to have a look at the castle:

Freddie had a go trying to pull out the sword (after lots of rude people pushed in front of him)

We went to look at the dragon under the castle:



Then we went on the Snow White ride:

We then got on the railroad train (to rest our legs!) all the way round to frontierland.















We then did Big Thunder Mountain again with a fast pass





Before heading for some lunch. We had some hot dogs before a look in the shops then back to our hotel for a rest. On our way back up Main Street we noticed the character express coming so stopped to watch it go by









We then spent the afternoon relaxing in the hotel. Kev & Freddie went for a swim while Tommy and I had a sleep.

We then had our dinner in the hotel restaurant which was very nice before going for a walk around the lake before bed.

Disneyland Paris - Day 3

Day 3 – Wednesday 3rd October 2007

Got up nice and early then headed down to breakfast in the hotel. The breakfast here was miles nicer than at the Explorers.

We then headed to the Walt Disney Studios park for opening.





We headed to Crush’s Coaster first but the queue was already massive so we went on the Cars ride instead which we all loved. We then headed for the Studio Tram Tour which was a bit too long really and the boys really didn’t like the fire!

We then had a mad dash to get to the Animagique show which was about to start. We got there just in time and we all really enjoyed it. Tommy especially loved it and was bopping away on my knee!

We then headed round to the Moteurs Action Stunt show where people were starting to head for their seats. We grabbed some seats but had quite along wait before the show started. Luckily I had quite a few snacks in my bag (and a few bread rolls from breakfast!) which kept the boys quite. Kev enjoyed the show the most and the boys liked the cars and bikes but both got quite distressed with the fire effects.

When we got out of the stadium we noticed that the queue time for the Rock n Roller coaster was only about 10 minutes so I headed to queue while Kev went to wait at the exit to do a child swap. The ride was amazing but it did batter my head a bit! Kev and the boys were waiting at the exit when I got off the ride so we swapped over and Kev got to do the ride.

When we came out of Rock n Roller people were lining the way for the Cinema Parade at 13.30 so we grabbed a spot.



We then grabbed some Mickey Mouse pizzas (which were pretty crap!) for lunch. Then we could hear the High School Musical parade coming so we watched that go past.

We then went on the flying carpets ride which the boys both enjoyed.

Then we decided to brave the Crush’s queue so Kev went to queue while I got in the queue to meet Mickey Mouse with the boys.

The wait was quite long for Kev but well worth it. When he came off the ride we swapped over and I got to go on through another entrance and didn’t have to wait long at all. It was an excellent ride and I think it was both our favourite ride of both parks.

We had all had enough now so headed back to the hotel but on the way we spotted Donald so made our way to him. It really isn’t a nice experience trying to get near though. You have these horrid pushing women shoving their kids in. One was even smoking amongst the scrum.

We went back to the hotel and all went for a swim in the pool. It was a lovely afternoon and it was so nice being able to swim out through the door into the part of the pool which is outside. The air was really cold but with lovely blue skies. The only problem was the pool was very deep. I couldn’t touch the bottom so it was quite hard with two non-swimmers.

We then went back to our room to get changed ready for our Character dinner at Café Mickey.







Tommy loved looking at the hot air balloon outside and we really wanted to go on it but the only time the sky was clear enough to go on it the wind got too strong so they closed it.



The characters were brilliant in here and the food was lovely.
