We checked in at Royal Pacific Hotel at about 9.20 and our room was ready so we had a quick look at our room and then headed over to Islands of Adventure by water taxi.
We had a bit of a rush as we had a reservation for Spiderman Breakfast at Confisco Grille for 9.45am. We got our tickets and arrived for breakfast just a couple of minutes late.
The restaurant was really empty with only about three families in there. We were visited at our table by Spiderman, The Cat in the Hat & Thing 1 & 2.
First came The Cat in the Hat who spent ages with the boys, had his photo taken with all of us and drew the boys a lovely picture on one of the Menu’s for them to take home.
Then came the highlight for Freddie which was Spiderman himself! His face was a picture. Spiderman told him to eat eggs to make him strong and he is always asking for eggs now we are home! Tommy had a good conversation with him about Bogies and whether the brown ones or green ones taste the best!
Tommy loved Thing 1 and Thing 2. He was cuddling them both for ages! The video we took says it all as his face is a picture!
The food in here was delicious too. Kev will go back just for the French Toast!
From Confisco Grille we headed straight to Marvel Super Hero Island for the Spiderman ride. Tommy wasn’t tall enough to ride so Kev took Freddie on first using our hotel room key cards as our express passes. Tommy and I waited in the Spiderman shop and did a spot of shopping! We didn’t have to wait long before they came off the ride. Freddie said he enjoyed it but he didn’t want to go again with me! I went to have my turn on the ride and there was no queue at all using the express pass. What an excellent ride! So clever. I loved it. I can see why Freddie didn’t want to go again though!
Next we went to do Incredible Hulk. The boys aren’t big enough so Kev and I took turns to ride. I went first and again walked straight on with the express pass. I did enjoy this ride but it was a bit too fast so soon after breakfast! We swapped over and Kev enjoyed it more than I did!
We decided not to do the Doctor Doom Freefall or Storm Force Accelatron this time and headed into Toon Lagoon.
It was a lovely warm day today so I thought I would take Freddie on the Bilge-Rat Barges while Kev took Tommy to play on Me Ship, The Olive but Freddie wanted to play on the ship as well. So I went on the Barges myself. Perhaps I should have watched the ride before joining the queue? Nope I went straight on! The wet people getting off the ride might have been a hint as to how wet I would get! OMG I have never been so wet and laughed so much! It was the funniest ride and completely soaking!
Kev & the boys thought it was hilarious when they saw how wet I was! They decided not to ride after seeing me!
Since I was so wet already and the boys were having fun on Olive I went to ride Ripsaw Falls by myself. This ride was fab. I think it helped that I was already soaked so it didn’t matter that I got wet!
I didn’t have anything to change into and was so soaked! I took my t-shirt off in the end and put my sweatshirt on (even though it was a bit too warm for a jumper!).
We headed through the Jurassic Park area without going on any rides here and next stop was Dueling Dragons. Kev went first and then me. We only did one coaster each but both loved it!
Next stop was Seuss Landing! First we went on the High in the Sky Seuss Trolly Train Ride. We loved this especially the bit when you go round inside the Café!
Next stop was some lunch so we headed for Circus McGurkus Café Stoo-Pendous. We had two Fabulous Fried Chicken Platters between us. The mash, chicken & sweetcorn was nice but I didn’t really like the gravy and there was too much of it.
We visited the Grinch Christmas shop where I bought a decoration for our Christmas tree.
Next we had a go on Caro-Seuss-el. A visit to the shop followed where I bought the boys and myself Thing 1 & 2 t-shirts.
Then we did One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish but rather than all going on together we took turns so we could video it.
The last ride of the day for us was The Cat in the Hat which the boys loved so much we had to do it again!
We headed back to the hotel where we had promised the boys a swim.
Unfortunately it started to rain a little just as we got back to our room. They wanted to swim anyway so we got our things together and headed down to the pool. It soon stopped raining so we had a nice swim although I found it to be quite freezing!
We went back to our room and got changed ready for dinner. We had decided to eat in the Islands Dining Room rather than heading back out to Citywalk. We all chose the buffet. We had a really odd server called Mario who I wasn’t keen on at all. The childrens buffet was nice and they both enjoyed their food but I wasn’t so keen on the Adult buffet as there wasn’t an awful lot that I liked to chose from. Saying that the deserts were very good!
While we were eating we were visited by Shrek & Fiona at our table.
We had a quick wander round the hotel to investigate and then headed to our room for an early night for all.
