Day Fourteen - Animal Kingdom & Blizzard Beach

We had our breakfast at Pop Century before heading to Animal Kingdom for our second visit. We arrived at Animal Kingdom and got parked up and headed to the entrance. We stopped to have photos taken and autograph with Rafiki before heading through the turnstiles.

Kev headed straight to Expedition Everest to get fastpasses while I took the boys to Camp Minnie-Mickey to get ready to watch the Festival of the Lion King show.

While we were waiting for the show (and Kev to get back with the fastpasses) we saw Pochahontas for a photo & autograph.

Kev arrived back and we joined the queue for the Lion King Show. We were seated at the front. We really enjoyed the show.

Freddie and Tommy were chosen to go up and join in with the cast members.

We came out of the theatre and Freddie wanted to meet Chip and Dale so we joined the line for them. Tommy didn’t want to meet them!

We went to Flame Tree BBQ again for an early lunch as we had enjoyed it so much the last time.

Kev then took the boys over to Dinoland to ride the Triceratop Spin and then play in the Boneyard while I headed over to Expedition Everest to use my fastpass. The ride was just as good the second time! I love it!

I then headed back to Dinoland where I found Kev in the Boneyard and swapped places with him to watch the boys while he went to ride Expedition Everest.

We headed to Dinosaur where we got some fastpasses and Kev took Freddie to ride it first (Tommy wasn’t tall enough). I took Tommy on Triceratop Spin which had a long queue!

When we met back up with Kev & Freddie they hadn’t really enjoyed Dinosaur and Freddie didn’t want to ride again with me so I had to go on my own! I didn’t enjoy it either! All the children in the same car as me were screaming and crying the whole way round! The photo was hilarious!

We decided we had seen enough of Animal Kingdom and to make the most of it being a nice warm day and headed for another visit to Blizzard Beach.

We had a good time again at Blizzard Beach apart from Kev capsizing the ring in the lazy river and nearly drowning Freddie and grazing his knees on the bottom! Me & Tommy did laugh at them though!

It was much nicer here on a warmer day but the queues were much better on the cold day!
We had a dinner reservation for Boma at 5.45pm but decided the day before that we just didn’t fancy it (now looking back I wish we had done it and am thinking about adding it to our trip this time round!). We managed to get a replacement ADR for Whispering Canyon CafĂ© as we had enjoyed it so much we fancied doing it again.

We headed over to Wilderness Lodge and parked up and arrived in time for our ADR. We didn’t enjoy our meal as much this second time as our server wasn’t nearly as much fun as the one from the first night! It also didn’t help that we had been trying to use up our snack & counter service credits all day so had had too much to eat and didn’t really have the required appetite!

We headed back to Pop Century to make a bit of a start on the bag packing!
