We headed straight for Soarin first which had about a 20 minute wait when we joined the line. We decided to see if they would let Tommy ride (borderline height) and the Cast Members checking heights let him go on. We all really enjoyed the ride and I am glad Tommy got to ride it too as there really isn’t any reason why he couldn’t (the problem Tommy has is that he has short legs. When the boys are sitting down they are the same height and they are the same weight as each other so it always seems unfair when the ride is a sitting one that they can’t both go on!
As we hadn’t had much breakfast we headed to Sunshine Seasons and had a late breakfast using up some of our snack credits.
We headed next to Test Track. We got some Fastpasses and then joined the line. The lady at the entrance measured Tommy and said he could go on. We walked through all the queues and then at the next Cast Member they asked to measure Tommy and again he was fine to go on. We did the pre-ride part and then were at the point where they tell you which car to go in when another Cast Member asked to measure him. This time they said he couldn’t ride. We ended up having a bit of an argument with them about it which included them telling us that the measurement taken outside is different from inside because of the different concrete or something stupid! Tommy was quite upset at not being allowed to ride (especially since he could now see the people getting into the ride). If they had said outside he couldn’t ride he wouldn’t have known any different. I had to take him round to the other side and wait for a parent swap. While we were waiting loads of people who had got off the ride but had seen them stopping him from riding where telling us how they thought he should have been allowed to ride! After Kev & Freddie came off then Freddie got to go again with me! We decided after this not to even try Tommy on anymore 40” rides.
Next we headed over to Mission Space where we took turns to ride with the Baby Swap (although there was hardly any queue anyway). We both went for the less intense option. The boys enjoyed the play area inside while they waited.
Next we headed to the character meet area as we wanted to meet Pluto (hadn’t seen him yet this holiday). We queued for ages! Longer than we queued for any ride today! We saw Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald & Goofy. (We ended up meeting Pluto twice more today after all this!)
Outside the Character meet we also bumped into Belle & Timon so stopped for autographs and photos.
We headed round to World Showcase now and headed first for Canada where we sampled some more of the delicious Cheddar Cheese Soup and also tried the Maple Glazed Salmon. I wasn’t so keen on the Salmon but loved the Soup.
Next we headed for the United Kingdom where we had a look round the shops. Marry Poppins was there for photos but the boys didn’t want to meet her!
We went to the Yorkshire County Fish Shop for lunch. We were quite disappointed with this and won’t try it again. I think we are used to much nicer Fish & Chips at home so were never going to like theirs!
We headed through France and had a quick look in the shops here before heading through Morocco. We stopped off in the New Zealand Kiosk and sampled the Lamb Slider in a Brioche Roll which went down well especially with Freddie!
We passed through Japan
Next we stopped off in America where we had a look round the Pearville Fair.
We met Pluto on our way round but Tommy didn’t want to stop for a photo.
We had a look round in Germany and took a few photos.
We then stopped to meet Snow White on our way.
We sampled the Samosa with Tamarind Sauce at the India Kiosk.
We visited Norway where Freddie had his photo taken with the Viking before we all rode on Maelstrom.
We stopped at the Austria Kiosk and sampled both the Beef Goulash with a Bacon Dumpling and the Boiled Beef Brisket with Red Potatoes and Horseradish Cream Sauce. Both of these were really delicious!
Tommy was getting tired now and fell asleep in his buggy. Since he was asleep we decided to head back to Test Track and use our fastpasses we got earlier without him knowing! We took turns to go on with Freddie while the other one looked round the Shop area.
Kev & Freddie went on Spaceship Earth while I sat with Tommy who was still sleeping.
We had a reservation at Chef Mickeys at 6.15pm so we decided to go there on the Monorail rather than driving so Tommy could stay asleep for a bit longer. It took us a while to get there but we were still in plenty of time.
We all really enjoyed our meal here. The boys loved the napkin twirling and were dancing around the table! They met Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy & Donald.
We had a look round the shop in the Contemporary resort and bought a photo frame and the boys filled a treasure box with treasure.
We headed back on the monorail to Epcot and then picked up our car and headed back to Pop Century.
